WERS

Live Mix Engineer (2015-2017)

  • I started working at WERS, a local radio station in Boston, in 2015 as an Assistant Live Mix Engineer. After a year there I became one of the Live Mix Engineers, helping record and mix the different live performances that we would bring into our recording studio.

  • As part of the Live Mix Engineering Team, I helped record, mix, edit, and re-master performances that came to our studio. This required me to figure out we were going to mic the performances, as well as allowing me full creative control on how to process and mix the performance (given that I stayed true to each band’s “sound”). These performances were either live broadcasted or pre-recorded, and ranged from singer-songwriters to full jazz ensembles, with plenty of groups barely fitting in our studio.

Center for Creative Education

Media Arts Intern (Summer 2017)

  • I started working at the Center for Creative Education in the summer of 2017, where I helped set up and design the new recording studio that they were adding.

  • While at the Center for Creative Education (CCE), I helped run and manage their theatre space as well as their new recording studio. I also taught the students at CCE, showing them how to operate the audio equipment in the various facilities as well as instruct them on basic audio principles live performances and recorded music.

Samples

These songs/sessions were only possible due to the incredibly talented artist(s) that allowed me to record them.

All songs were recorded in Pro Tools and mixed out of box on a Yamaha PM5D. Each file here is a bounced mp3 file from the recording session, but if you’d like to hear the wav or any other mixes for a particular artist feel free to let me know!
