Gameplay Dialogue
“Re-mastered original game’s dialogue” might be an understatement, but my main task on this game was to remaster the original dialogue and make sure that it was up to, or at least close to, the quality bar of The Last of Us Part II (2020). What this boiled down to was me fielding leveling requests from 5 other Dialogue Coordinators who were exclusively tasked to play the game (they were new hires and we didn’t have the proper time to train them before shipping the game, so we tasked them with playing it instead).
For the majority of this game I was the only Dialogue Coordinator on it, so I effectively handled all aspects of editorial with the exception of a few. This included working with the animation team in order to handle adjustments to the original game’s IGCs, supporting the new cinematic descriptions feature, and remastering not only the English dialogue but also mastering the newly added Greek and Turkish dialogue, as well as remastering the Brazilian Portuguese dialogue.
